Around 4 RWs in Central Jakarta were selected to participate in the Climate Village Program (Proklim) 2022 competition, namely RW 06 Kebon Kosong Urban Village, RW 02 Rawasari Urban Village, RW 03 Cempaka Putih Urban Village, and RW 01 Cikini Urban Village.

Central Jakarta Secretary Assistant for Economy and Development, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting said participants needed a good coaching thus they focused on their commitment to cooperate well for the success of this program.

"Central Jakarta has received the Proklim Lestari Award at National Level. This is a follow-up assessment," he added, Saturday (3/11).

In preparation, he reminded the participants to not only win the competition, but also find ways to encourage residents to preserve the environment.

"The point is we take care of the environment, preserve and maintain its beauty, thus it is still beautiful to look at. It will give good points for environmental assessment," he stated.

From total 364 RWs, only 69 RWs have implemented the Proklim. The number would grow in line with Action Plans carried out by Environmental Implementing Unit together with the Environmental Care Community Forum (Formapel) in each region.

His side also appointed Mr. Joko from RW 06 Kebon Kosong Urban Village and Mr. Adian from RW 03 Cempaka Putih Timur Urban Village to participate in the Kalpataru representing the Central Jakarta.

"In the next three years, we hope all RWs in Central Jakarta will be RW Proklim. We also appointed 2 people for Kalpataru program because they have contributed to preserving the environment," he mentioned.
